Which U.S. Law Firms Hired the Most Lateral Partners Over the Past 12 Months?
April 18, 2022
With the flurry of big lateral moves lately such as Stroock’s entire financial restructuring group decamping for Paul Hastings, we took a closer look at our own lateral data (which is updated twice a week) to see which U.S. firms had the most activity over the past 12 months in recruiting the most lateral partners. Here’s what we found:
The firm that has brought on the most lateral partners was Kirkland & Ellis with 114 lateral partners in the last 12 months. (Kirkland has also been at the top of our Leopard Law Firm Index throughout the year.)
In second place was Lewis Brisbois with 98 lateral partners, followed by Greenberg Traurig with 68 partners, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough with 66 and Goodwin at 58.
The lateral market is not showing signs of slowing down – reach out to us to learn more about Leopard’s data and what it means for your firm.
Here’s a video with Laura Leopard explaining what these numbers mean.
